forget About all The irritations, Remember of Which is True joy

Good morning, friends!! Quick update.

4. Scott Pilgrim Vol. 2: Scott Pilgrim vs. the World by Bryan Lee O’Malley. Well, after the Lincoln biography, I needed something funny, sweet, quirky and light. And yup, Scott Pilgrim answered. Knocked this out last night…not much to say about it, other than I still enjoy the randomness much. Yay for hyper-dramatic Canadian fun, laced with music and silly banter. This volume ended when Ramona realized that the bass player with Envy Adams’ band is one of her ex-boyfriends. The horror! “That is that Todd.” *cue dramatic music* I can now picture the scene from the movie in my head…Brandon Routh time! Also, Scott is quite a drama queen and whiny in this book in particular. But I guess that is his character. I really don’t get what Ramona sees in him. Ah well. Enough of my silly analysis of this silly book!

In other news…just still really enjoying all the many things God has blessed me with. Last night was a beautiful example. After my workout, decided I could not pass by the opportunity to enjoy the lovely cold weather. So went on a nice walk…all the way up to Boomtown, soaking in the fading evening light in pleasure. Enjoyed a coffee at Boomtown, wrote in my notebook a bit and then walked home. Sushi for dinner with an episode of Doctor Who (Tennant & Rose…and Queen Victoria!?!) and afterwards enjoyed a mug of decaf with the aforementioned Scott Pilgrim. John eventually came home and put on some Paddington, which served as suitable background for my reading. Thus was my night. A simple, gorgeous night.

Now I shall be off, my friends. Peace and love.
