Well, we had our football game. And we lost. But man, it was a blast while the season lasted…our whole team rocked hardcore, especially our captain who shall remain nameless. No, his name doesn’t begin with “Chr” and end with “is”..

After the game, the team and all our supporters(you guys rock!) played another game of football, in which there was running around in circles, singing, dancing, and yes, even human pyramids. Best game EVER.

Now, back to physics homework.

I think I like football better.

Hmm, I haven’t written in a little while. Well, that happens.

Anyway, last week was spring break, and it was AWESOME. Rob was at my place for the first weekend, and we had fun just chilling at my house, playing basketball, ping-pong, and even doing a little gardening. On Monday, we went to his grandparents’ place in Sarasota. We stayed there for a few days, and good times were had by all. Beach, food, card games, food, Ringling museum and frisbee golf and more food. That pretty much sums it up. I got quite sunburnt though…I figured two applications of sunscreen would cover me…apparently not. I learned my lesson from that. Anyway, the beach was amazing. We went to Siesta Key…played volleyball, football, frisbee, body-surfed, and then built the best sand castle ever, if I do say so myself.

On Thursday, I came back to Tampa and just relaxed at home for the last few days of break…so good just hanging with the family and watching some good basketball games. Iowa lost and Michigan State lost…but Florida’s in the Sweet 16!! I think we have a fair chance of making the Final Four.

I’m back at school now, unfortunately…have to worry about my upcoming Diff-Eq test and Physics test. Physics test is the one I’m really worried about. Much study is needed.

And tonight is our flag football playoff game!! I can’t wait to play! Everyone in Gainesville(or even if you’re not in Gainesville), come and watch us at Lake Alice fields, 8 PM tonight!

I should probably get some physics homework done now. Or think about the upcoming game. Yeah, that sounds like a better idea.

The future is scary sometimes….

Sometimes I just wish I knew what the future holds.

I wish I knew the right path to take…I’m weighing the options in my hands, but I’m still not quite sure what I should make my major. It’s weird, because I always thought I knew just what I would do – didn’t think I’d change my major at all. And I’ve already done it once. And now…is engineering even for me? When I find out I like my finance and economics classes a lot more than my physics class…I just don’t know. I’m even considering finance or accounting as majors now…but I feel like I’d be a quitter if I dropped engineering now. But then…what do I want my life to be? I must decide and decide soon. And my whole life will be determined from that one choice. If only I was omniscient..but then, only One is.

College is a wonderful time…but also ever so stressful. DiffEq test on Friday, physics 2 test on Monday…and everything else thrown in between. Argh..can’t wait ’til a week from now.

My foot is asleep.

I want sugar.

Well, it’s been a pretty long week…but it sure has been an awesome weekend so far! Yesterday after my last class, Chris and I came back to Tampa in a raging rainstorm…halfway there, part of the windshield wipers on his car broke, so that didn’t help matters any. But we made it back alive. Somehow.

Anyways, it’s great to be back in Tampa. Last night, went to the GHS talent show – it was a great time…the best part was seeing people I hadn’t seen for so long!

Today…mostly been relaxing and hanging out around the house. My dad made a fantastically awesome roast chicken meal(I made the salad)…so yeah, home-cooked food is pretty sweet. Tomorrow, I’ll have to go back to school, but now I’m just enjoying not having a care in the world.

And it’s a pretty special day today…

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DREAM!!

Just uploaded new icons…hurrah! I didn’t know I could have 6…so now I have lots of cool ones to pick from.

Anyways, since I guess I should have some kind of update, here goes…

This week is going by incredibly slow. It’s only Tuesday…so still have to get through three more days. Today, had my 7:30 physics lab, which went well enough(for physics). After that, we had football practice – me, Maggie, Chris and Rob just ran some plays and practiced grabbing flags…more practice is definitely needed. After that, me and Rob went and had lunch at the Arrendondo Room at the Reitz…I just love the food there. Today they had sphaghetti and meatballs as well as salmon teriyaki. I definitely enjoyed myself a bit too much there…

Physics homework and a nice long nap finished out the afternoon. After dinner, I’ve been wasting time talking to people while I did homework and watched the State of the Union address(I thought Bush did a pretty good job). And then I wasted more time by finding icons. Anyways, guess I should finish my homework…enjoy your night, all!

Did you know you can be a friend of yourself on livejournal? I didn’t, until now.

I need to get some Ramen noodle soup or something…I realized that whenever I’m hungry, all I have to eat in my room is candy and green olives. And while those are great snacks, I have no substantial kinds of food. Of course, it would be better if I could have some food like steak and potatoes. Hmm, why am I thinking about food now?

You’re alone and trapped
weak and tired
all your lifeblood sapped
and you think it’s
your time to go
but please don’t
think it’s so

You must see past
the dirt and grime
and realize your
life is at its prime
and now you have to
rise.

Break free of your bonds,
your chains, and dip
yourself into the pool
of self-defining silver
flowing fast, flowing strong
down into the well-worn river.

Hold it there,
stay below
and soon enough
you shall know
you will change,
you will die
a little
inside
and then you
rise.

Now is the time
of reconciliation
now is the time
to be free
now is the time
of your life
and now at last
you see.

Look
look at your body
in the window
and you realize
that you glow
and that your mask
is now your true face
and that your arm
is now your own.

I really wanted to write a New Year’s update, but I was way too lazy…and then kept forgetting it. So this is my “New Year’s” update…twenty-nine days late. But yeah, 2005 was an amazing year…so many things happened to make it a year that will not be forgotten. I remember when I was a little kid, and I calculated the year I would graduate high school. When I figured out it was going to be 2005, I thought, “Wow, that is a really LONG time from now.” And now it’s been and past. Graduated from high school. Came to UF for college…sorta scary, thinking I’m in college now. Remember when you were little, thinking how big college kids were? Yeah, I’m one of them now. Pretty cool, huh?

And now I can’t think of anything else to say about 2005…since I’ve been in 2006 for so long, I’ve lost the ’05 vibe. Just know this – it was a year of awesomeness. 2006 is looking like it will be another awesome year, as I turn 19(that awkward year after you’re 18 but before you turn 20…y’know?).

Actually, a lot of cool stuff has already happened in 2006…started school on the ninth with bunches of cool classes(minus most of them). I’m taking differential equations, technical writing, physics 2, finance, and microeconomics this semester. Since it’s still in the first few weeks right now, haven’t been too terribly busy, so had time to just hang with people. We’re starting flag football in a few weeks, so that’s gonna rock hardcore – I’ve never played competitive football before, so can’t wait! Because of that, been practicing a lot lately, so probably played the most football I’ve ever played in one month this past January. And that’s a good thing. Watched a bunch of movies I haven’t seen before, including Moulin Rouge(interesting movie – enjoyable for the most part), Fight Club(very different kind of movie – wasn’t quite my type), and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind(another interesting movie – I enjoyed it). I’m trying to remember if I saw any other movies – Chris, remind me.

I finally read Dune(figured I needed to read it, so ordered it on Amazon). It’s supposed to be “the” science fiction book. I definitely enjoyed it. Took me a few days to read, but it was worth it. I actually didn’t see it as much of a sci-fi book, though. It was more philosophical than anything. Not sure if that’s even the right description. Anyway, even though I liked it, still doesn’t top other books by Orson Scott Card or Isaac Asimov. Ok, getting off that book tangent…

Been enjoying Creekside life a lot lately – sweet time tonight listening to bands and drinking coffee at their “Creekside Cafe” thing. And I actually didn’t drink that much coffee but still I feel very awake right now. Mostly, I ate fudge and creampuffs and some really really awesome berry pie. Besides that, didn’t eat all day until afterwards, when me, Rob, Liz, and Steven went to Checkers. It was good times eating and talking about random stuff until we realized how cold it was. Before I went to that tonight, played football most of the afternoon. Had our first offical team practice, so it was pretty sweet.

Hm, Dream needs to go to bed, so gonna post this now. I was going to write a poem, but I might post that separately later.

And thanks for reading that everybody- yes, I know I write too much.

Merry Christmas!

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.”

How good it is to remember…

Merry Christmas, one and all!
