Wow…the hurricane just totally missed us.

It’s amazing that it did…but it’s sobering to see all the damage that was done to where it did hit. That was going to be us. I just can’t believe how powerful it was and how much damage it did…Tampa would have been seriously messed up if it hit where the weatherpeople said it was going to hit…

Wheee…updating!

Today was fun – spent all day in Gainesville! Me and my dad went to visit UF…and well, visited other places, too. First, we went on a little tour of the campus – oh, and Maggie was there, too – that was so weird(and of course, awesome!), seeing her there! So, we went on the tour around campus(my first time there). UF seems really awesome – good people, good place, etc. After the tour, me and my dad had lunch at Subway and met up with a friend of my dad’s to talk about UF and the good things/bad things(what??) about it.

And…hmm…can’t remember what happened next. Oh yes. Then went and talked to the Engineering Department adviser – informative, if nothing else. After that, we went to visit a church nearby, to see if it would be a good one to attend if I do indeed go to UF. It definitely was, as the pastor seemed to be a great guy and the church seemed to be strong in doctrine.

Anyways, after that, went home. Oh, and stopped at Steak&Shake on the way back for a shake. Scares me – I’ve been there twice in three days…I’m becoming Chris. *gulp*

And that sums up my day. UF seems to be a very strong possibility – they offer good scholarships, they have strong engineering programs, not to mention that all of my friends are going there.

Wow…long entry…whee, it’s all good.

Well, gotten several requests for my schedule, so here it is, in all it’s too-many-AP-classes glory:

And yes, it is in order(if I remembered it correctly, anyway):

-AP Euro
-AP English Lit
-BC Calc
-AP Chem
-Zoology(Honors)
-Earth and Space Science

I like how it gets easier near the end…:D

Anyway, today I went down to Gaither to find out why I had AP Psych when I hadn’t taken the prereqs…for some reason, the guidance counselors put it there to hold that place in my schedule(and the schedules of others), and it would be changed before school. I couldn’t really take it…at least, that’s according to MY guidance counselor. Mrs. Powell told Dream and Kim that they CAN take it though…so…I’m confused. But, I got an easy class(ESS) in its place anyway, so I’m happy.

Oh, another thing…found out I got Pardo for homeroom again!! Awesomeness.

I’m out.

Wow, didn’t think I’d ever start a live journal. But even though I have, don’t expect me to use it much…this journal is due to Chris D. changing his journal to friends only…yep, Chris, this is just for you. Don’t get the wrong idea. If I feel like it, I’ll post here, but we’ll see how that goes. And now…over and out. -James

The most perfect song just played on my iTunes. “Wake me up when September Ends”…exactly how I feel right now. Homework that I don’t understand(namely, engineering economy) is making me wish I could just go to sleep and wake up when it’s all over. But the life of a college student equals much pain and frustration…alas. Now, back to studying.
