Something Weird

Darkness covering,
darkness advancing,
pain awakening,
fear rising.

Tortured mind,
Scarred and seared,
pain stabbing,
fear growing.

Ne’er a retreat,
nowhere to go,
too many foes,
fear takes hold.

All around,
darkness presses,
all around,
darkness smiles.

All is hopeless,
all is lost,
and then,
Light.

Light enveloping,
light embracing,
darkness flees,
love stands triumphant.
